Showroom Sales Manager - NYC

Position: Showroom Sales Manager 

Lawson-Fenning, a beloved California brand recognized for its distinctive LF Collection of locally crafted furniture, is seeking a dynamic and proactive sales professional to manage our new New York City location. We are looking for a candidate with a strong sales or service industry background, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

The ideal candidate must demonstrate a willingness to embrace the Lawson-Fenning  brand and understand its client culture.  This is a uniquely established position tailored for a dedicated, detail-oriented, team-focused leader. As the Showroom Sales Manager you will have a pivotal role in driving  sales, managing day-to-day showroom operations, and other duties as assigned. 

SHOWROOM SALES MANAGER PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform and open and closing duties in the showroom.
  • Maintain high standards of the showroom at all times: floor merchandising, product tagging, and stockroom organization and management. Following a merchandising plan to display as directed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the showroom, kitchen, and common areas.
  • Monthly inventory and stock check reporting for buyers.
  • Answering phones and greeting clients.
  • Qualifying leads and adding customer profile to CRM as needed
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries.
  • Monitor New York sales emails.
  • Manage all office supply inventory and ordering.
  • Manage all UPS, FedEx, etc. pick-ups/drop-offs, as well as incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Manage local delivery showroom assistants and regular cleaning services.
  • Coordinate and supervise repairs and services relating to showroom and technology.
  • Pest control, electrician, HVAC, plumber, locksmith, alarm including door entry system, and security.
  • Maintain accuracy of New York Housekeeping Document.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining sales leads and customer relationships.
  • Provide a luxury experience for clients by assisting with design services.
  • Qualify and educate potential design clientele on the services offered by Lawson~Fenning.
  • Set a high standard of warmth and professionalism in welcoming clients, vendors and colleagues.
  • Represent the Lawson-Fenning lifestyle brand through polished communication, personal appearance and professionalism.
  •  See orders through from quoting, invoicing, billing, order completion and delivery. 
  •  Provide follow-up care and problem solving as needed. 
  • Provide support with all phases of the design process, including: consultations, site visits, design development, presentations and delivery.
  • Have extensive textiles knowledge, including which of our graded fabrics are most appropriate for specific use and durability requirements.
  • Provide product expertise and elevated client service.
  • Develop a deep understanding of brand and product assortment, including our customization process.
  • Excellent time-management skills, independent drive and the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects under tight deadlines.
  • Respond professionally to critical feedback and be proactive in seeking support and help when needed.
  • Represent the Lawson~Fenning lifestyle brand through polished communication, personal appearance and professionalism.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  •  5+ years of client-facing sales experience in a showroom, service industry,  or related fields.
  • Experience in the interior design industry and/or luxury products
  • Polished, professional demeanor across all communication platforms.
  •  Self-starter with the ability to problem-solve independently and foresee potential challenges
  • People and relationship-driven.
  • Strategic and mental agility.
  •  Collaborative and flexible team player.
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks, Google Suite, and Airtable.

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience
