Position Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Furniture Designer/Drafter to support our design and production teams on a freelance, in-person basis. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment and excited to contribute to detailed drawings, 3D modeling, and development of new furniture pieces and retail spaces

Responsibilities

Produce accurate technical shop drawings for fabrication using AutoCAD


Build and revise 3D models in SolidWorks and or Rhino


Create presentation materials, diagrams, and visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite


Assist with developing design concepts, construction details, and material specifications


Support the team with prototyping documentation and production communication


Maintain organized file structures and adhere to internal drafting standards


Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency in AutoCAD


Strong 3D modeling skills (Rhino or SolidWorks required)


Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)


Understanding of furniture construction, materials, and standard manufacturing methods


Ability to create clear, build-ready technical shop drawings


Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction


0–3 years of professional experience or equivalent internship experience in furniture, industrial design, or related fields


Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or related discipline (preferred)


Additional Qualities

Strong communication and organizational skills


Comfortable working hands-on and collaborating with designers and fabricators


Eagerness to learn and grow within a design-driven environment
