PRODUCTION MANAGER
POSITION: Production Manager
REPORTS TO: LF Partners, Production Director
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
We are looking for a Production Manager to join the Lawson-Fenning team. The Production Manager will work closely with the LF Partners as well as product development and design teams to meticulously produce luxury, high-end furniture and manage performance to exceed targets in quality, delivery and cost.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
➢ Support all aspects of furniture planning, scheduling and production, ensuring that luxury brand standards and deliverables are met on time
➢ Responsible for specific areas in the production process including QC and staying on top of orders in production
➢ Work with Director of Operations to maintain strategic vendor relationships
➢ Continually monitor & improve manufacturing efficiency and minimize waste
➢ Use KPIs to track process performance and report improvements, including cost savings
➢ Product Cost & Price Management
○ Vendor reviews for product Cost increases
○ Internal reporting for margin and pricing proposals
○ Vendor Negotiations
➢ Production Management
○ Purchase Order review and Fabricator Submission
○ Workflow Management (Lead Time Management), including
■ Master Open Order Reporting
■ Weekly QC Goals Overview (to Fabricators)
■ On site Fabricator reporting
- Order status
- Order priority
- Production delay resolution
➢ Quality Control (On site Fabricator visits)
➢ Field Issue Management
○ Internal production assessment
○ PO generation and submission
○ Lead Time Management
○ Field communication (client, furniture repair services)
Desired skills & experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
- 5+ years of experience in luxury furniture
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply creativity in solving complex problems
- Passion for design and deep familiarity with luxury lifestyle space
- Working knowledge of CAD and Adobe Suite along with relevant project management tracking tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Team-oriented mindset and attitude
