LGS was founded in 2014 by Thomas Renaud and Noel Hennessy.

Our practice is rooted in the principal of creating thoughtfully designed collections within a range of lighting, home accents and sculptural vessels. We use wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques to express our vision and draw inspiration from both natural and architectural design elements. We see our work as “New Relics”, objects that balance both past and future.

It was a single ceramics class in college where Thomas first realized his passion for working with clay, only to come to fruition 15 years later. Those in-between years were spent working in the fast-paced world of marketing and communications in New York and Los Angeles. But something was missing. Self-taught and driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and desire to fulfill his passion, Thomas left marketing, dedicating himself to developing a ceramics practice.

Noel studied painting, photography and sculpture at School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston before moving to New York in 2001. He was the founder of the ubiquitous St Helens Cafe & SAVED gallery of Art and Craft pioneering early Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Since then he has worked as an Art Director and Prop Stylist fro a variety of clients and brands on both the East and West Coasts.

All of our work is designed and manufactured here in our Los Angeles studio.
